I cannot believe how lucky we got with her. She definitely came from a loving home because she is sweet as can be and just wants love and attention. Adopting a dog from a shelter you never really know what you are going to get but she couldn't be much more well behaved. She sits when you tell her to about 75% of the time and she is crate trained and house broken so she is fine being left in the crate overnight or during the day (we didn't want to leave her outside in the rain!).
If we are walking around the house doing stuff she wants to be there so she doesn't miss anything but if we are sitting on the couch watching tv she goes to her bed and goes to sleep. she has a very lab like demeanor, always wants a toy or a ball in her mouth and likes to chase after balls (she isnt so good at letting you have them when she brings them back though). She is just wonderful. Her only flaw really is she has the worst gas! That is why we started calling her Nika the Stinka. Saturday night it was just one after the other so we didn't give her any treats yesterday thinking that may be the problem but she kept on tooting. We will try a different food once she is done with the bag she has now but for for now I can just blame it on the dog whenever I get a little gassy:)
