March Madness!

The big tournament is quickly approaching which begs the question, who is in for the pool this year? As always there will be a small buy in (suggestions as to how much the buy in should be?) and there will again be the prize for the biggest loser. Last year we awarded the winner by the most overall wins but if there is another way people would like to do it, just let me know.

The bracket selection takes place on Sunday, March 15th and the opening round game is on March 17th, so I would need your brackets by then.

The Final Four takes place on April 4th and 6th also so if anyone wants to host a viewing party, that would be super!

Leave your feedback and express your interest in the comments please:)

i'm in.

corin was interested when i spoke to him about it.

there are several different ways to do the points on a tournament. one that i liked the most was awarding points based on seeding. like, if i pick a #15 seed to win, and they do, i get 15 points.

i'm thinking hero's downtown for the final game.

i'm in too. not sure about ed's points idea though. i'd rather have people picking who they think will win than how they can score big points in an upset.

For each game you do that? So there is incentive to pick the underdogs but it is also a risk? And if the team you chose doesnt win, you get no points?

I know Annie is in too (yeah she was the pregnant woman who won last year, and she is pregnant again!) and I was going to see about Brian and Mike because they did it last year too and I need to see if Nick would be interested.

Hero's sounds great for the final game.

How much of a Buy in? 10?

it totally gets you picking underdogs because they can yield high points. but if they lose you're stuck with holes in your bracket, just like normal. anyway, it's just one idea.

or, you could do all 1 point but an extra point for underdog wins.

$10's not bad. i wonder if adam would be interested? i think he has in the past.

$10 sounds fine. and i'm in no matter what the point system.

Ok 10 it is, lets just keep it simple and go straight point system and Adam has not done it in the past so I doubt he will be interested, but definitely ask him.
I will need everyone's bracket on Monday, emailing it to me will probably be the easiest thing to do.
