I appreciate that they at least think about trying to hide it. The other funny part was I was home at the time but they didnt knock. I opened my door to leave and there it was, "hiding".
seriously, what happened to ups knocking? unless the package requires signature they just drop it and run. i've been home and had them leave 2 packages in the last month.

They always give mine to the neighbors.
Every once and a while they'll hide a small package under my doormat.
But really, I live in the back of a gated complex. It's not like I live in a spot with a high risk of the random passerby stealing a package.
