Who Said It?

This is purely rhetorical so you dont need to call anyone out. We were all there and we all know who said it, I just didnt want to forget these gems:

"I am panty waste!"

"It is ok, I bought boxers at DD's, irregular size" (I wasnt there for this confession so I dont have the exact quote but you get the idea)

Blast from the past: "More pushin for the cushin"

Keep it up and he may just have a quote of the day calendar, just like George Bush does;)

for some reason i've always thought that panty should be spelled pantie. but when i type it out it looks wrong.

also i can't remember if there was an "a" in the phrase "i am panty waste."

silly guy. he's going to surpass you in random quotes that we say.

I went back and forth on whether he said "I am a panty waste" or "I am panty waste" too, I couldnt quite remember. This is why writing it down when it happens is so important. I need to start bringing a pen and paper with me.

I would just like to point out that Abid was wrong last night and it is spelled pantywaist, which is what I thought, but was unsure.

So it does not indeed have the more gross connotation was assumed last night.

Uh did you not click on the link that I had to panty waste on my post? I looked it up on urban Dictionary and it is indeed spelled panty waste when used in slang terms and also does have the gross conotation which I was in agreement with Abid with.

Really, you're going to take urban dictionary over merriam webster or wiki?

And no I didn't click your link because your link colors are the same as your regular text and I don't roll my mouse over all the text in your posts.

Weird, they show up as pink on my computer.

And there are various meanings behind panty waste so no one is wrong. I am familiar with the meaning on urban dictionary and the reason I looked it up on urban dictionary is because we were talking about a slang term.

Most older slang terms have a spot in regular dictionaries because it's a word that has come to mean something else over time where as panty waste is merely a descriptive phrase. And I think the original makes more sense when used as a term of weakness because it refers back to a young boy's underpants, such as the definition on the wiki link.

That and the phrase usually flows, "Don't be such a pantywaist" which wouldn't make much sense if you actually referring to waste. You would say, "Don't be such panty waste" or something like that.

It's all semantics now and panty waste has apparently caught on as a term, though I think it certainly has more sexist connotations.

And in defense of all of this, I did ask about the origin of the word last night, not the current slang derivatives. It's interesting to me where words come from so pantywaist really is the version I was looking for.

for what it's worth, the first time i heard the term was from an old jersey girlfriend when she was laughing at me for not being able to go toe to toe with her in drinking. i thought she was just calling me a lightweight.
