I was perusing the NPR website when I came across this article about an instrument called the bowed piano. The picture showed what looked like a bunch of hands disemboweling a piano so I was intrigued. Although the piano has obviously been around for quite sometime, this complex take on how to play the it produces a kinda cool unique sound. Well it certainly has a piano sound to it, but it isn't a heavy sound, to me it sounds a little lighter and like it is being accompanied by string instruments. Ha, I am so not musically inclined, I dont know what the hell I am talking about but it does have a nice sound and that I know!
I am just teasing you more now arent I? oops.
That is pretty badass.
And your comment was accurate. It definitely sounds like strings over a piano and even some guitar sounds going on.
