Hey all of you music fans out there, I am creating a new playlist to workout to as all my music is getting very stale and I need new music suggestions. I know most of you who read this are more into music than I am so you know a lot of the more obscure bands and songs that I am not familiar with. Your suggestions are appreciated!
any required bpm range? will you be running or can it be chill?
ReplyDeleteboth. When I run, upbeat is preferred but I find when I lift I enjoy a slower more chill beat.
ReplyDeletewoodhands - heart attack
ReplyDeletebloc party - silent alarm
ted leo & the pharmacysts - hearts of oak
the sleepover disaster - hover
ra ra riot - the rhumb line
nofx - coaster
silversun pickups - swoon
if you want specific songs i can break it down more
I'm not sure if I agree with all of Ed's picks for a workout playlist. These are my picks
ReplyDeleteThe Cool Kids-
Cut Chemist
Dizzee Rascal-Math and English
Girl Talk-Feed the Animals
MGMT-Oracular Spectacular
New Young Pony Club-Fantastic Playroom
Santogold
I also like Block Party, Modest Mouse and The Pixies for working out but you have to pick and choose because not all there songs work for a gym playlist.
I knew Ed and Heather would come through for me! I have downloaded some of those suggestions and thank you very much. If you see me at the gym rocking out, you will know why:)
ReplyDeleteI have Santogold and MGMT on my workout mix too.
ReplyDeleteI also like the Dropkick Murphy's Shipping Up to Boston for getting all ragey and the Kills for some bad-ass snarling girl power music: URA Fever, Getting Down, Sour Cherry, Tape Song, etc.
