Amy Ruppel, a Portland based artist, recently released a new series of state animals paintings. Each one of her wax paintings measures 7.25" by 7.25" but you can also get a print instead for a much more affordable 20 bucks. I don't know what it is about these images that I love so much. They are a bit retro and kitschy but I am completely charmed by them and may need to order me some.

If you like these, you may be interested in an artist I really like, Blanca Cucha. I ordered a print from her that I've been meaning to post about, I've just been too lazy to make the frame and hand it.

I haven't posted anything on your blog lately, but it;s been interesting to see the progress on the new house, hopefully I'll have a chance to see it when I'm in Fresno at Christmas.

And I still have not had my house warming because it has taken me awhile to get things in order, much longer than I anticipated. The way things are going I should have it mostly together by the end of the year so hopefully you can see it then.
I love those prints Justin! Thanks for the link, it is stylistically very similar. I like the ones with the rain falling on the individual, they are very happy:)
